Sam was a cheerful and active teenager who exceled in his studies since young. He was the apple of teachers’ eyes. Not just studies, he had a great achievement in sports too.  Indeed, he was a role model to other students. He had a lovely family and friends around him admired Sam who led a wonderful life.

He has a girlfriend whom he deeply in love with and had been in a relationship with her for years. Besides focusing on his studies, he spent most of his time with his beloved. Unfortunately, all these sweet moments did not last long. His girlfriend was diagnosed with an unknown acute disease and left him all of the sudden.

Condolences were given to Sam and people around him thought that the cheerful Sam had accepted the death of his girlfriend. In fact, did Sam really accept the fact that his girlfriend no longer around? No one knows, except himself, Sam. Friends did not console him after the incident, to them, life goes on, and so does Sam. Thus, they overlooked and neglected Sam. Nevertheless, Sam started to prefer staying at home than going out with his friends. All he did during his free time was flipping back all the memories with his girlfriend.

One day, he was found talking and mumbling alone. He even smiled at the ‘person’ beside him but the truth is he was all alone. A friend was horrified by his act and suspected Sam had fall sick. He suggested him to consult the doctor as soon as possible.

Sam was diagnosed with spilt personality. He behaved normally when he accepted this horrendous incident and led a life without his girlfriend, however in a second, he might be immersed in a virtual world, where his girlfriend was still alive. With this disease, Sam could not think and analyze properly.  He could not accept the fact that he was mentally ill and eventually his disease led him to suicidal.

What if, all this while, his friends around him did not neglect him? What if, all this while, his friends care about him just a little more? If time could turn the clock back, if a second chance was given, if friends are more concerned about Sam, he might be able to get through the most difficult moment in his entire life. He might not be diagnosed neither with spilt personality nor committed suicide.  So, love and care about people around you before everything is too late. Prevention is better than cure.
